India, Nepal -- March 1992

This essay-in-progress tracks my first journey to India & Nepal. Of all my trips, this one took me the longest to get into the swing of things, and it ended much too soon.

I traveled with my Dad, who had business in India. After a week, I left him and made my way to Nepal.

Originally posted as one long essay, I have broken it up into parts, making it a little faster for you to download, and also allowing me to add pictures as I can find them.

• Getting There
  Includes trip planning and the actual flight to India. Some terrorist activity in the Kashmir almost caused us to cancel the trip.

• Hong Kong - Bombay
  Dad conducts some business in Hong Kong, then we complete the journey to India.

• Goa - Bombay
  Our hosts aren't ready for us in Bombay, and they send us to a resort in Goa to rest for a couple of days.

• Nepal
  I left Dad to set out on a trip of my own, visiting Kathmandu and bike riding in the Himalayas.

• Getting Back
  Getting back to the States wasn't all that hard -- Just time consuming. I visited Delhi, Bangkok and Hong Kong on the return.
