I am fascinated by very accurate time and location measurement. All of the clocks in our house are set using the U.S. Naval Observatory's Time Service, which keeps the computers on our home LAN within one second of Coordinated Universal Time (UTC). The rest, I update once a month or so to keep them in sync. My interest is such that I have listened to the USNO's WWV short-wave time station to listen to the insertion of leap seconds into the world clock on New Year's Day.
