Okay, so things are busy and getting busier -- here's our update for March
and April. First off, Mason helps wash Daddy's car; likes to wear
Daddy's hat; packs himself in a Bike Friday
suitcase; introduces himself to a man at the famous fly-in
McGehee
Catfish Restaurant near Ardmore, Oklahoma.
Mason has a little nest in the kitchen and he likes to relax while Mommy's
working in there; he does chores like taking out the trash (saying "heavy,
heavy" the entire time); models his new backpack; and helps Daddy assemble his
new tricycle.
Visits the Dallas Arboretum and
though we took lots of pictures, this is the only one where he looks happy to be
there. Mason has taken to holding his friends' hands, but Sam doesn't know
what to make of this. With incredible style, puts on his own accessories,
shoes, hat & backpack. He's obsessed with trains and loved the opportunity
to see Thomas the Tank Engine when he came to Grapevine. It was a great
season for bluebonnets, but Mason didn't want to pose on his own.
Mason has finally started to become very possessive. Here, he attempts
to purloin a ride-on Mercedes-Benz. Mason does manage to get an egg at an
incredibly cold Easter egg hunt. He enjoys a Texas Rangers game courtesy
of Sam and does the "wave." Although they have come to terrorize each other,
Mason and Hailey always jump, giggle and hug when they see each other.
Of course, Mason had a big birthday party. Mommy made Echidna ice cream
cakes and Mason tested them for quality assurance purposes, of course.
Mason was very good at blowing out the candles, so we let him do it again and
again -- and forgot to sing "Happy Birthday!" He feeds his horse; and
poses for a nice portrait with Mommy and Daddy (yes, once again, we did buy the
rights to this picture and the one above).
After his birthday, Mason pets the goats at Nash Farm; drinks from the tub;
and relaxes on Daddy's head. Hailey better watch out -- Claire makes a
move on our man, though she looks scared that Hailey will find out.
