One of these two men was accepted at the Duke University Fuqua School of Business Global Executive MBA Program.  Can you guess which one?

Mason turns 18 months old in a couple of days and time flies!  August was typically Texas hot and aside from the pool, we stayed inside a lot.  Mason is eating more and he'll make a good effort at eating whole fruit including these peaches.  He has also started talking and can say "up," "down," "baby" (which refers to everything but Mason), and "thankyou" (as one word).  He'll also randomly say EIEIO, especially when he's upset as well as something that we think is "giddyup" when he rides on our backs.  This big hippo was the first toy he showed interest in -- he called her baby, kissed her a lot and dragged her all around the house.

He's also very interested in sitting in the front seat of the car and likes to pretend that he's driving.  Daddy and Mason have started having bagels and cream cheese on weekend mornings and this usually winds up creating a mess than Mommy has to clean up.  And we've found something else we need to childproof -- he's figured out how to get into the dryer.  Our outside time is usually in the pool and Mason loves the water!  Mason has developed a taste for baby yogurt.  He has started teething massively (looks like eight teeth coming in at once, so we shouldn't be surprised).

Leesa and Mason got to spend most of September in Australia to meet Cooper, Mason's new cousin!  Mason enjoys the Qantas Skybed and appears to have sufficient room to stretch out.  Mommy and Mason check out baby Cooper, as do Mason and Nana, but he really likes having Cooper to himself.  Mason finds more vehicles he likes to drive.  And let's end the Australia visit with one final picture of Mason and Cooper posing together.  Okay and a picture of him happy after his bath and helping Granddad do some work.

Barely back in Texas, we all went to the State Fair of Texas, courtesy of the Mercedes Benz Club.  He wants to ride the big rides, but he's not tall enough.  He did get to drive some SUVs, though. but he SCREAMED when we tried to put him in a minivan.  Of course, the best thing about the Fair is all of the animals.  Mason got to meet Elsie the Borden Cow and play with lambs, pigs, goats and even a large Brahman bull.  Daddy had just gotten accepted into Fuqua, so Mason had to pay for it with the Duke shirt.  Apparently nobody in Texas has heard of Duke before -- many people assumed his name was Duke.

We hope Mason's teething ends soon.  He's in a lot of pain!
