Steve
Finley is a long time amigo living near Washington, DC.
Sometime renaissance man, Steve's interests range from arts like photography
and music; sports like spelunking and God knows what else. We never get to
actually see each other anymore, but he's good (much better than I am) at
keeping in touch via Email. Steve's gotten married this year, and he
and Wendy are expecting their first child early in 1998.

The
Nolan Family Home
Page is a recent addition to cyberspace. Created by Chris Nolan (center), he has
very impressively written his HTML code by hand (something that I promise you
will never happen here), saving his money for some cool computer game.
Amazingly, Chris and his dad, Kevin, have figured out a way to combine the
Grateful Dead, the Catholic church, the recently completed Olympic Summer Games
and other stuff into one nicely produced site.
Chris's services are for hire, if you need some HTML code hammered out.
I
just found long-time author and friend Richard Grant's page. It
has recent essays and letters, along with the exciting news that is latest
novel, Tex & Molly in the Afterlife,
is now available! Richard, Charles Redmond and I
used to meet frequently at the Four Provinces on Connecticut Ave., in
Washington, DC to discuss 'stuff.'
Richard moved with slinky, blonde, writer-friend, Liz in 1988 or so and that
was just about the last I had heard from him until I stumbled across him on the
internet. At this point, Liz is out of the picture and Richard's living in his
treehouse somewhere in Maine.
This picture is supposedly from his new novel.
His link is currenly down, but maybe it will be avaiable again at some
point. Here is his last known link: http://users.aol.com/loqqi/
Charles
Redmond has a site which has traced his 1996 summer vacation
riding the rails of VIA, the Canadian railroad. He updated it daily and you can
see pictures and commentary online from their trip! It's impressive to see how
he was able to provide new material from on the road.
Gray
Shockley has just opened a Macintosh information site, which also
has his biography! Gray was one of the first callers to Swizzle
Stick, my BBS, which I started in 1986.
Screw
'em. Or better yet, use Switchboard to
track them down. If you haven't given Switchboard a try yet, please do, and make
sure that your own information is updated!
Here are some friends that do have E-mail, though.
Curt
Bollar -- My daddy. You can also reach my super Mom at this
address.
Scott Bomson
-- Scott was my roommate in Washington, from 1985 to 1989. We did lots of bike
riding there along the C&O canal. About two years ago, he moved to Dallas
and we got started on our biking again. Unfortunately for me, he's been
scheduled to move back to Washington, so I will need to find a new biking
partner.
Richard
Cree -- We've known each other for years and still see each other
several times a year. We usually wind up in the strangest places, meeting on
business or just because. We did some serious stress to a rental car playing Streets
of San Francisco. Richard came to my wedding and we have done a few weekend
trips to Europe as well.
Rebecca
Racosky -- We were friends in college, dated for awhile and wound
up being friends again afterwards. She still lives in Washington.
Leesa
Stephens -- My lovely wife. We met in Hong Kong in 1991 and got
married in 1994. She has lived with me in Atlanta, San Francisco & Dallas.
She's quite crafty and is able to make all sorts of things. I'm very impressed
by her artistic ability. She's also loves dogs and does a bit of gardening.
Chris Watt
-- Chris used to work with me at Marriott, but now he's gone off to another
company. He came to my wedding in Australia, and has traveled several times with
me. We're probably going to go skiing together in 1998.
And finally, here are some friends that somehow warranted a mention on these
pages, but don't have an E-mail address that I know about.
Bill Codus -- We used to work
together in Marriott, but now we're in separate parts of the company. Bill and I
have done a few trips together and have always had a good time. Bill is a
serious Washington Redskins fan and currently lives near San Francisco.
Tim
Suich -- Tim and I travel frequently together. We've been to
Australia three times together and to South America once. We met when I lived in
Washington and have kept in close contact since. He's finally found a mate, and
I look forward to being at his wedding.
James Utt -- A close high school
friend. James lived in Washington for awhile, but got married and moved to
Michigan. He's divorced now and has moved back to Florida. Wish I had
spoken with him recently. |
